Indications:
Sitagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Dosage and Administration:
Adults: Usual: 100mg qd.
Renal Insufficiency: Moderate (CrCl ≥30-<50mL/min): 50mg qd.
Severe (CrCl <30mL/min)/End-Stage Renal Disease Requiring Hemodialysis or Peritoneal Dialysis: 25mg qd. With Insulin/Insulin Secretagogue (eg, Sulfonylurea): May require lower dose of insulin secretagogue or insulin.
Contraindication:
Known hypersensitivity to the active substance, or any of the excipients.
